JASON FEGER ANXIOUS TO RETURN TO ELDORA FOR THE WORLD 100

After Missing Dirt Late Model Dream, Illinois Driver Banking on Momentum From October Victory

ROSSBURG, OH (August 30) – “I can’t wait to get back to Eldora and see everyone. It just fits me, I feel comfortable there,” echoed Jason Feger on his return to Eldora Speedway and the 43rd annual World 100 September 5-6-7. Feger was unable to participate earlier this year in the Dirt Late Model Dream by Ferris Commercial Mowers as he sat out a suspension period imposed by World Racing Group; but with that behind him, it’s all systems go and he is ready to pick up where he left off.

“It was tough – I think everyone has a special place for Eldora, and for me to miss my first one (Dream) in probably 6 or 7 years was tough.”

In his last visit (October 2012) to the .500-mile clay oval, the Bloomington, IL prevailed over a stout field of entrants in the UMP DIRTcar Nationals. “Any time you can win at Eldora it is awesome. There were some good cars that always run really well at Eldora, so it felt great to win.”

Going into the World 100, 42 times the famed globed trophy has been handed out and gone back to ten different states. Absent on that list is Illinois. Feger wants to change that statistic and will be returning to the high banks with his familiar driving style.

Nicknamed ‘the high side hustler’, Feger acknowledged “it just fits me and I feel comfortable up there. Eldora usually always has a high side, so I think that’s part of the reason I like it so much. I like the top when it is really tricky and not many others want to get up there and chance it, or can’t make it work, and I can.”

Feger’s quest for the fame and glory that accompanies a World 100 win begins Thursday and Friday evenings (September 5 & 6) in complete racing programs that highlight twin 25-lap A-features paying $5,000 to win and culminates on Saturday with the traditional format of The World 100.

Echoing the words of the Late Model fraternity, Feger closed with “I can’t wait to get to Eldora to see everyone and get back to one of my favorite places. My cars are running good right now and I’m anxious.”

Tickets for all three nights of the 43rd annual World 100, along with campsites, remain available online at www.EldoraSpeedway,com or by calling the speedway office (937)338-3815.
