STATEMENT FROM ELDORA REGARDING CRAFTSMAN SPONSORSHIP OF WoO SERIES

Statement From Eldora Speedway Regarding Craftsman Sponsorship of the World of Outlaws

WoO_CSC_FINALROSSBURG, Ohio (February 1, 2016) – Sears and the Craftsman brand, America’s most trusted tool brand, announced today the return of Craftsman tools as a major presence in motorsports, becoming the title sponsor of the World of Outlaws.

The three-year agreement, which begins immediately, renames the two premier series in dirt track racing to the “World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series” and “World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series.” This is the first time the two top series in grassroots motorsports have shared a title sponsor.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series heads to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on May 6-7 for the #LetsRaceTwo, July 14-15-16 for the 33rd Kings Royal weekend and September 23 for the first night of the 35th Four Crown Nationals.

ROGER SLACK, General Manager of Eldora Speedway: “Today’s announcement by Sears and Craftsman Tools to return to motorsports via a three-year agreement with the World of Outlaws brand and dirt racing is a landmark day for our sport, competitors and fans.

To have a major consumer brand select dirt racing as a national plank in their marketing platform further validates what those of us have been saying for years – dirt racing is growing, our racing is better than any other, our competitors are fan-friendly and we have the most passionate audience in all of sport.

Eldora’s events can only benefit from Sears and Craftsman’s planned promotional activation and our guests will enjoy the added on-site interaction at our World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series events in May, our expanded three-day Kings Royal Weekend in July and September.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I’d be remiss if I didn’t urge everyone to pick up some Craftsman tools for that special someone in their life.”
