Tickets remain available for this historic event, just call
the ticket office or buy your tickets at the gate when you arrive
at the track.
Sept 19 (afternoon): 129
cars are in the pit area at this time, with a few cars still
making their way through the gates. Plenty of tickets are still
available at the ticket office (both reserved and general).
Earl is currently working on the track, and there is no rain
in sight! From this point forward, we will be posting all news
on the LIVE UPDATES section of our Mopar Million coverage. Click
the link below to navigate to our updates page.
Sept 19 (morning): We
are approaching 120 cars at Eldora Speedway this morning, as
tech inspection has just gotten underway. Earl and crew are
working the track and haulers are being parked in the pit area.
We are currently sitting at 64 degrees under bright sunny skies
in Rossburg, Ohio. We will have continuous updates for you throughout
the morning, so check back soon! Check below for a current photo
of the pit area...
Sept 18 (evening): Activity
has picked up this evening as campers and racers are flowing
into the track on a regular basis. Roughly 90 teams are staged
and we are fast approaching triple digits. Some of the cars
to pull in this evening included Travis Rilat, Don Droud
Jr, Jac Haudenschild, Dean Jacobs, and Kevin Doty. Tech-in
begins at 9:30 Friday morning, with the drivers drawing their
qualifying pills at that time. This is also the time when the
driver becomes "married" to his car. This will be
when fans find out about some of the 'TBA's that were originally
released on the entry list! Check back to this page throughout
the morning and day for continuing updates from the track...
Sept 18 (morning): 18
more teams arrived to the track overnight, bringing the total
up to 60 as of 10:00 Thursday morning. The Kaeding's ofBud and Brent, Danny Sheridan, Bill Rose, Ricky Gaunt,
and Rob Chaney were among those that arrived overnight.
There will be a DJ under the grandstands this evening for everyone
who has arrived to the Eldora area.
Sept 17 (evening): 42
haulers were staged as of 8:00 tonight. Nonwing hotshoes JJ
Yeley, Richard Griffen, Derek Davidson, Boston Reid, and Cory
Kruseman were among those cars. Winged warriors Greg
Wilson and Tyler Walker were in line as well. Staging will
continue on Thursday, as teams are beginning to converge on
the Eldora Speedway from every direction!....Several photos
from Wednesday evening were added to the Gallery.
Sept 17 (morning): The
first round of staging occured at 9:00 Wednesday morning, with
14 teams on the Eldora grounds at that time. The hillside was
also opened for lawn chair seating today as well, with around
20 people in line and waiting for the 8:00 bell. There are still
plenty of lawn chair spots left if you are interested in sitting
hillside.
Sept 16: Brian
Tyler takes the honor of being the first car to arrive at the
Mopar Million. Both he and Levi Jones arrived at the track Tuesday
afternoon. Campers had the chance to check out the #38 of Jones,
as he unloaded his machine in the north campground to get some
work done before Wednesday's staging begins...If you are planning
on marking off an area in the hillside tomorrow, please remember
that nothing (caution tape, chairs, etc) is allowed in the grassy
areas until 8:00 am.
Sept 15: Ongoing
preparation continued today, on and off the track, for the Mopar
Million. Mother Nature even put in some work today, with a brief
rain shower that soaked the track. Work will continue throughout
the week before activity starts to pick up on Wednesday when
the staging area will be opened for race teams. Thursday will
be much of the same as more teams will be arriving to the Big
E. Friday morning will perhaps be a very interesting morning,
as teams must name their driver at the pill draw. Look for the
pill draw and driver/team combos to be announced at the stage
during tech-in, which starts at 9:30.
Sept 14: The
biggest week in the history of nonwing sprint car racing has
arrived, as the Mopar Million Sprint at Eldora is only five
days away! One lucky driver will take home a record payout of
$200,000 this Saturday night, while the second and third place
finishers will pocket $125,000 and $100,000 respectively. With
150 cars entered for this one-time race, fans will be treated
to the largest sprint car count in Eldora history.
Just a few more reminders for the upcoming week.....Reserved
tickets are on sale by calling the track office at (937) 338-3815.
Ticket prices and information can be found by clicking the 'tickets'
link above......Golf carts are permitted on the Eldora grounds,
but we ask that they be parked from 1:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. in

tape or chairs may be placed in the grassy areas or hillsides
until Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.... Showers are located
behind the middle barn to the north of the track and are open
to all fans camping at the speedway.
