OLLIE'S BARGAIN OUTLET 360 CHALLENGE RACE UPDATES

For those not able to join us in person for this midweek special event, we will help you kick off Kings Royal week by bringing you some updated results and news from the evening...

5:35 pm - The sun is back! After a heavy storm moved through earlier in the afternoon, things are looking up at Eldora. Track crews estimate our hot lap start time to be around 6:30 pm, so we are not too far off from the original schedule at this point. Drivers from many ranks and regions have signed in tonight - including some from the World of Outlaws, the All Stars, USAC, NASCAR, and of course 360 sprint divisions such as NRA and ASCS.... An interesting note; Fred Rahmer looks to make his first Eldora start in 13 years tonight...Unfortunately, Tony Stewart will not be racing tonight. He is continuing to battle illness which started last week at the NASCAR race.

6:10 pm - The drivers meeting is taking place on the frontstretch. Current car counts are 44 sprint cars and 30 modifieds.

6:23 pm - The drivers meeting has concluded. Cars will brought onto the track to put heat in the motors and finish packing the track. Hot laps will follow. Also, there will be no qualifying tonight. We will be utilizing the passing points system.

6:50 pm - The call has gone out for the first group of hot laps....Tim Shaffer will replace Tony Stewart in his Old Spice sponsored 20 car tonight...

7:14 pm - If Donny Schatz wants a crack at the $50,000 bonus tonight, he's going to have to earn it... by nature of the pill draw, he will be starting last in his heat race...

7:20 pm - Hot laps are complete for the sprint cars. Trucks are ironing in the high side and the Moser UMP DIRTcar Modifieds will be out for their warmup session shortly. Heat race lineups for the sprints are posted below...

7:40 pm - First heat race green flag is flying!

Heat race winners are locked into the feature. The 11 drivers highest in points not already locked in following the heat races will then be sent to the feature, with the remainder of the feature being filled by B-Main transfers...
