KINGS ROYAL FANS CAN TASTE DARKE COUNTY

ROSSBURG, OH (June 23) -- In recognition of the thousands of people brought into the area by Eldora Speedway events, Deanna York, executive director of the Darke County Visitors Bureau, has announced a unique promotion that will “spotlight and share the area” with them.

Entitled “Trans for Fans”, the kickoff effort will be during this year’s Kings Royal event.

“We will be providing bus transportation for race fans to visit shops, restaurants and attractions in Darke County, the home of Eldora Speedway; specifically Greenville and Versailles”, offered York.

Local volunteers will ride the buses on Thursday, July 14, to answer questions and provide a bit of ‘edutainment’ - a mix of education and entertainment. York continued, “Eldora’s race fans will have the opportunity to dine, sample the best local wines, shop and learn about local history; at a minimal cost, less than a gallon of gas.”

The Darke County Visitors Bureau will erect a tent near the North campground and be on hand to assist the fans with scheduling and transportation arrangements. Plans call for the buses to leave Eldora Speedway, on the hour, from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM that Thursday.

Eldora Speedway officials are excited with the opportunity to offer its fans an exposure of the history-laden Darke County area.

Eldora’s Kings Royal will be contested Friday and Saturday, July 15 & 16, with a full World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint event each night, including the history-rich $50,000 to win main event on Saturday evening. The National Racing Alliance (NRA) Sprint Invaders will be included each night, as well.
