100 PRIZE LIST CONTINUES TO GROW
ROSSBURG,
OH (SEPT. 2) – Bert Transmission, Knep’s Competition
GraphiCs and Race Cover-Alls, LLC are among the latest industry
partners in this year’s 37th annual running of the World
100 at Eldora Speedway over the weekend of September 7 and 8.
Of the
trio, Bert has the longest standing tradition at the fabled
event, and will return this year to present one of their outstanding
transmissions to one of the two B-Main winners. The recipient
will be determined between the duo, based upon the quickest
time trial lap from the night before.
Knep’s
will reward the 121st quickest qualifier from Friday’s
time trial runs a $650 vinyl graphics package, while a pair
of car covers will be presentED to the team owner that travels
the furthest, courtesy of Race Cover-Alls.
The Knep’s
and Race Cover-Alls recipients will be honored during the pre-race
ceremonies on Saturday (Sept. 8), while the Bert transmission
will be presented just prior to the introductions of the starting
field for this year’s edition of the World 100.
Earl Pearson,
Jr. is the defending champion of the race that has been proclaimed
amongst the dirt Late Model fraternity as the ‘grandaddy
of them all’. The traditional globed trophy of victory
has become the most sought after prize in the sport.
The action
kicks off Friday evening (Sept. 7) with the two rounds of single
lap time trial runs, and non-qualifier events for cars timing
in 121st and slower. Saturday’s agenda includes six heat
races, a pair of B-mains and the much anticipated World 100,
around Eldora’s one-half mile clay oval.
