HOSERVILLE OHIO JUMPS ON MOPAR THUNDER BANDWAGON

Hoserville Ohio has once again jumped on the Mopar Thunder bandwagon at Eldora Speedway. The organization has announced some special activities taking place throughout the course of the weekend at the Rossburg speed plant; including a silent auction, two racing awards, as well as fan interactive prediction contest! Each activity is summarized below…

SILENT AUCTION:
A silent auction display will be setup in turn four, near Tim’s Dirt Track Simulators and the merchandise vendors. The items will be displayed from the gate opening time each day through the completion of qualifying each race night. The high bidder of each item following the completion of qualifying on Saturday night will win the item. Winning bidders will be announced over the PA system and will have the opportunity to pick up their item before they leave the track on Saturday.

Auction items which will be available for bidding:
1) Cory Kruseman autographed midget side panel/rock guard from the ‘04 Buckeye Nationals
2) Two (2) sets of Chili Bowl tickets for all four nights
3) Levi Jones autographed racing gloves
4) Jac Haudenschild autographed side piece of an old Pennzoil hood and #22 hat
5) Tony Elliot autographed front wing from the Pullins #29 car
6) Bud Kaeding autographed racing gloves and visor
7) Stan Fox Petro side panel
8) Tony Stewart autographed ‘mystery’ item (to be revealed at the track!)
9) Craig Dollansky Karavan #7 autographed front wing side panels*
10) Chad Kemenah autographed 2005 top wing side panel from the #15k*
* One exception to the auction schedule above is that bidding on item #9 (Dollansky) and item #10 (Kemenah) will end on Friday night, rather than Saturday night. The winners of these two auctions will be announced over the PA and will have the opportunity to pick up their item before leaving the track.

Forms of payment accepted include cash, check, and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). Payment must be made at the track, regardless of whether you take the item with you or Hoserville Ohio ships it to you.

Fans who will not be in attendance at Eldora this weekend, but would like to place a bid on any of the above items may email info@hoservilleohio.com. Please include name, address, phone number, item number, and maximum bid. Email bids will be accepted until 12:00 pm (EDT) on Saturday.

All money raised from the silent auction will go towards the Hoserville Ohio benevolence fund. The benevolence fund helps to support injured drivers, as well as special race event contests held periodically throughout the year to award drivers for all of their hard work.

HOSERVILLE OHIO BEST APPEARING CAR
* As in the past two years, Hoserville Ohio will sponsor a ‘Best Appearing Car’ award on Saturday night. Each fan that comes through the gates will have the opportunity to place a vote for this award. Voting boxes will be placed at the silent auction display in turn four, as well as under the main grandstands entrance. When the voting is completed and tallied up, the winning driver/team will be brought to the stage to receive a cash prize from Hoserville Ohio, as well as a Hoserville Ohio shirt and some other goodies!
* Something new for the 2005 edition of this award is that the fans will also have a chance to win prizes! On the other side of the voting card will be a space for each fan to mark down their top three placing prediction for the race. Any fan who can correctly guess the top three finishers in exact order will receive a free Hoserville Ohio T-shirt, plus some other racing related prizes!

LUCK OF THE DRAW AWARD
* The second prize given out for the 2005 Mopar Thunder will be the ‘Luck of the Draw’ award. To give each driver in attendance an equal shot at this prize, every driver will have their name tossed into a bucket. The driver who wins the Best Appearing Car award will then draw a name out of the bucket while on stage for his award. That driver whose name is drawn will also win a cash prize from Hoserville Ohio!

While the total amount of money to be given away over the weekend has yet to be decided, Hoserville Ohio has pledged a minimum of $500 to the cash prizes.

Over the course of the past two years, over $10,000 has been raised for drivers across the state of Ohio, as well as the entire nation – all by auction income and fan donation! Most recently, $500 was raised for the Cody Hewitt family to assist in the recovery of Cody and his girlfriend who were seriously injured in a bike accident. A $500 donation was also made to the Steve Leiber family, to show support for Steve as he continues to battle down the long road to recovery following an accident in Michigan.
