WORLD 100 RESULTS
Check
this page for updated results as the action unfolds on Friday
and Saturday at Eldora.
HOW
THE WORLD 100 LINEUPS ARE DETERMINED:
|
-
At the time of inspection, all cars draw for positions
in the two qualifying rounds, with the fastest of the
two laps used for placement in racing events.
-
The fastest 120 cars from time trials are placed into
one of six heat races, staggered by times, with the
inversion determined by a drawing on Friday night.
- Finishers 1-3 from the heat races advance to the World
100, by finishing position, to fill spots 1-18. Winner
of the sixth heat starts on the pole, while the winner
of the first heat starts sixth. The next six positions
are filled by the second place finishers from the heats,
starting with the first heat, and then the next six filled
by the third place finishers, again, starting with the
first heat.
- Finishers 4-11 from the heat races transfer to one of
the two B-Mains, staggered by heat race finish.
- The first 4 finishers from each B-Main fill spots 21-28
in the World 100, in order of B-Main finish
- Positions 19 & 20 in the World 100 are filled by
the quickest two drivers from time trials that did not
make the cut through the heat races. |
