Jack Hewitt is all smiles after sweeping all four divisions at the 1998 4-Crown Nationals

For the 18th consecutive year, the Celina-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the ‘Evening for Race Fans’ and the guest lineup will carry many Eldora ties.  The December 7th event will take place at Romer’s Banquet Hall in St Henry, Ohio, and will feature two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Terry Labonte.  Also appearing will be Eldora legend Jack Hewitt, Modified and Late Model standout Jeff Babcock, Eldora founders Earl and Berneice Baltes, and current Eldora General Manager Roger Slack.  The event is hosted by Mike King, radio voice of the Indianapolis 500.

The event kicks off with a social hour and autograph session with all drivers, followed by a buffet-style meal prepared by Romer’s Catering.  Each guest then takes a turn on the stage with Mike King and has a chance to tell their favorite racing stories, jokes, answer questions from the crowd, and more.  The evening concludes with a special racing memorabilia auction.

This event serves as a fundraiser for the  Celina-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, State of the Heart Hospice, and Community Health Professionals Hospice. Over $180,000 has been raised over the previous 17 years.

Tickets must be purchased prior to the event by calling the Celina-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce at (419) 586-2219.  Cost per ticket is $50;  Visa & Master Card are accepted.  Additional information and mail-in order form is available at www.celinamercer.com
