Arctic All Star Series of Champions Battle for $10,000-to-Win; Final Tune Up Before Kings Royal July 14-15-16

ROSSBURG, Ohio (June 24, 2016) – Since 1981, the stars of the Arctic Car All Star Circuit of Champions have braved the high-banks of Eldora Speedway and the races have always been popular with fans in Ohio. This year, their first stop of the year at Eldora is the final event of Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket, the finale of eight races in nine nights within the Buckeye State. It’s a grueling schedule that brings together some of the best sprint car racers in the country.

It’s also the last chance for those outside of the World of Outlaws to tune their car before the historic Kings Royal Weekend on July 14-15-16 at Eldora.

Gates open at 4 p.m. (EDT), with hot laps beginning at 6 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.

Ohio Sprint Speedweek Event Guide

With Kyle Larson, winner at Attica and Atomic Raceways, returning to his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series duties, he will be shuffled out of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek points lead by after Friday night’s event at Lima Raceway Park. Contenders Sheldon Haudenshield (winner at Waynesfield), Chad Kemenah, Tim Shaffer, Dean Jacobs, Dale Blaney (winner at Millstream), Cale Thomas, Kraig Kinser and Danny Holtgraver all remain in the hunt for the Ohio Sprint Speedweek title.

In the standings for the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions title, Chad Kemenah has closed to within 40 markers of defending champion Dale Blaney. After two strong second place runs at Eldora in May with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars, Kemenah could be poised to gain more points on the all-time All Star win leader.

Joining the card will be the Eldora Stock Cars in an extremely close points battle. Rob Trent and Paul Pardo enter the event tied for the point lead while Frank Paladino is just one point behind with Donnie Jeschke and Jordan Conover tied at 11 points back.

Adult tickets are just $20 and children (12 & under) are admitted FREE to general admission.
