Press Release

Saturday Program Unaffected by Announcement

ROSSBURG, OH (Sept. 21) – With rain in the immediate area and the forecast for more storms approaching from the West, the first night of the 31st annual Four Crown Nationals has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.   Conversations with meteorologists and weather stations in the area confirmed that approaching storms would invade the Darke County area shortly after the advertised race time of 8 p.m.; preventing the possibility of a complete race program.

Leg number two, featuring the USAC (United States Auto Club) Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown divisions, remains on tap for Saturday (Sept. 22) evening.

Speedway officials have alerted all campers on the grounds to bring in awnings and squelch their campfires in anticipation of the approaching severe weather.
