Entry Forms Posted For 22nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream Presented by Ferris Mowers

$384,350 is Largest Dirt Late Model Purse in the World; Several Changes Made As “Every Lap Matters!”

dreamPNGROSSBURG, Ohio (May 25, 2016) – The entry form for the 22nd running of the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend presented by Ferris Mowers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 9, 10 and 11 has been posted <HERE>.

The Dirt Late Model Dream, sanctioned by DIRTcar, is the richest dirt late model race in the world with $100,000 going to the winner of Saturday night’s 100-lap feature event. A total purse of $384,350 is available for the three nights of racing, including $250,850 available on Saturday. That’s an increase of more than $80,000 from the 2015 race.

For 2016, the two winners of Thursday’s Twin 25-lap Feature races take home $5,000 each, while Friday winners get $10,000. Also this year every lap matters as a points system is set up for the Thursday and Friday events, incentivizing drivers each time they hit the track in time trials, heat races and feature event action.

This system will be used toward lining up Saturday’s heat races and determining the Dream’s two provisional starters.

Scott Bloomquist, of Mooresburg, Tennessee, and Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Georgia, split the Thursday preliminaries in 2015. Dennis Erb, Jr., of Carpentersville, Illinois, and Davenport are the reigning Friday feature race winners.

Bloomquist appeared to successfully best Davenport in an epic battle for his seventh triumph in the Dirt Late Model Dream but the win was nullified when the car and driver failed to meet the post-race minimum weight requirement on the track scales, handing the win and $100,000 prize to Davenport in another legendary Eldora moment and forever linking the legendary driver and rising superstar.
