Sunday Baltes Classic has been canceled due to rain. Over three inches of rain fell on the track earlier this morning. While most of the track drained fairly well, there is a soft stretch in turn one that has not, and crews feel it would surely be a problem area if laps are put on the track tonight… even if we don’t receive any further forecasted rain this afternoon

To further complicate the decision to race or not is the fact the weather forecast the next two days is not ideal. Any issues that would have developed tonight would almost certainly still a be problem leading into Wednesday’s kickoff to World 100 week.

Patrons who purchased advanced tickets will be refunded within the next two weeks.
